Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers played the final show of their 40th anniversary tour at the Hollywood Bowl on September 25th. That concert would be Petty’s last with the band.

Petty passed away late night after going into full cardiac arrest. When Petty arrived at the hospital, he had no brain activity. It was then that the family decided to remove him from life support. He was 66 years old.

Petty and The Heartbreakers wrapped up the Hollywood Bowl concert by playing two fan favorites, ‘You Wreck Me’ and American Girl,’ which you can see in the video above.
